The color red/pink is used to highlight the parallels that exist in Ghananian society. In Ghana’s flag, the color red is supposed to represent blood and the suffering of people in Ghana. Instead of keeping with the dark meaning behind the color red, I tried to repurpose it to act as emotion or even embarrassment on my mask. The remaining colors gray and black are designed to be muted, which helps make the color red seem more vibrant.

This mask by Alex Marley Electrical Engineering and Economics Major was created as part of the 2021 Mask class.
