Fractured: The Inspiration

This mask is inspired by my own mental health journey, specifically a particularly intense moment last year. I struggled with an eating disorder that led me to be hospitalized, and this mask visually represents the emotions I was feeling. The blue on the forehead represents the peace that I had felt, but it is cracking and fracturing in red, which represents strong emotions, in this case negative. The lips are golden to represent the strength of my ability to speak and advocate for myself in the tough times and find myself back at a healthier place in the end.
